Overview

NDA (National Defence Academy) is conducted by UPSC for admission to the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of the National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla. It is one of the most prestigious defence exams for 12th-pass candidates.

Eligibility Criteria

Age: 16.5 to 19.5 years
Educational Qualification: Class 12 pass (or appearing) from a recognized board. Mathematics is mandatory.
Gender: Male candidates only (for NDA Army/Navy); Female candidates eligible for Air Force (as per recent SC ruling)

Exam Pattern

Written Exam

Two papers — Mathematics (300 marks, 120 Qs) and General Ability Test (600 marks, 150 Qs). Duration: 2.5 hours each.

SSB Interview

5-day assessment — Officer Intelligence Rating, Picture Perception & Description Test, Group Testing, Personal Interview, Conference.
